Reblog if you struggle with depression, or an eating disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD, OCD, if you self harm, are suicidal or if you have any mental health problem. This is not to seek attention, pity, or judgement. This is to say you are here, and you are not alone. This is to say that no one out there is alone, and we are here to support each other. Reblog.

The beast had a large leather collar with a metal plate that jangled, a name 'Rahera' engraved into it. The beast saw the young man and nudged him, worried, surprizing for a first encounter, perhaps her instincts had been softened by its owner, maybe she'd be adopted when she was young. "Are you okay?" The voice that leaked from that beak was quiet, soft like that of a young girl, the pronunciation was odd and slushy but understandable, griffins could learn speech over time if they pleased.

Hiccup was… well, even more shocked. Did the griffin just… speak to him? “I’m ah… I’m alright!” He laughed, reaching a tentative hand up but withholding from actually touching the beast. “Just surprised, I guess. I’ve never seen anything like you before.” He blinked, cringing, “Oh, sorry. That was probably, ah… rude.” He coughed.

‎”It was our goal to take the original concept of the story and bring it to the level of some of our favorite fantasy adventure films, with real world stakes, exciting action sequences, and more mature character interactions and themes.” - Dean DeBlois

Kayley laughed cheerfully and swayed to the beat, feeling the beat pounding in her chest. It was awkward at first, but the music was infectious and she caught on to the dance moves quickly. It was almost effortless. She grinned at Hiccup. “Are you having fun?”

Hiccup was still moving awkwardly, a smile on his face through the obvious failure of dancing. “I’m ah… having fun, yeah!” He laughed, amazed at how easily she was able to pick up on the strange movements. “I don’t understand this tradition at all!” The comment was serious, but obviously made in fun.

She giggles and kisses him lightly. “Well, you look cute either way.” Kayley takes his hands and squeezes the gently as the song ends. “Do you want to get something to drink?” Her cheeks were flushed and she was smiling widely.

Hiccup nodded, glad for a chance to stop embarrassing himself. He was still smiling as they made their way off the floor, over to the bar (another strange concept to him, though luckily more familiar). He held on to Kayley’s hand, lacing their fingers together as they walked, happy to be there with her.
